GAI authenticated cards

Is GAI a reliable company to trust for their authenticated autographs? anyone had trouble with them before?

I would say that there is a good probability that their error rate is higher than PSA/DNA or JSA. Seems to be much higher on Mantle, Dimaggio, Williams, and Mays.

I agree. It seems at point they were slabbing anything that looked close knowing forgers would send more cards in.

I had a Lebron and Carmelo Anthony signed photo authenticated by GAI that I sent to PSA. PSA rejected both autos as questionable. nuff said

I wouldn't trust GAI as far as I could throw them.

the new GAI does not authenticate autos, they just grade cards and packs. I had emailed Baker about all the fake GAI autos out there. he avoided it and kept saying they don't authenticate autos. I guess he forgot about the thousand's of fake GAI auto's out there with Mike Bakers name on every LOA/COA.
  • Just assume most auto's are fake reguardless of what slab they are in.

Also all the other Gai Certified cards this known FORGER has up are fake.

    Best regards!

As sad as that statement is, it's pretty much why I don't purchase pre-signed autographs. Doesn't matter to me if they're slabbed by anyone. In this hobby, trust is earned, not thrown out blindly. I'd rather pay someone to go to a show and get me an authentic signature than buy the same thing for half the price on eBay. It's worth my piece of mind.

Exactly, the only auto IMO that is 100% legit is one you get in person.

Regardless of what all the so called experts want you to believe.
