1854 Large Cent w/Counter Stamp - E. J. Britcher

Can any one tell me about the E. J. Britcher counter stamps on coins and what value they bring to the coin, if any? I have a 1854 large cent which has been stamped three times with E. J. Britcher. I thing the store was located in NY state

I believe that there is a book on counterstamps by Brunk.
I am not much of a collector of them other than my Lafayette which does kick up the value a bit.

Rulau also catalogued some counterstamped U.S. and world host type coins of the 18th and 19th century in his reference on tokens.
