Am I missing something here? Lincecum Rookie Card

I have been trying like hell to find an '07 UD Lincecum raw RC that is well centered. I don't know if it's the set or not, but almost every card I've seen (on EBay and in person) is pretty off left-to-right.

Now I see this....How can this be?

Kind of makes me feel like I'm wasting my time trying to find a great card when this will be holstered.

    No doubt, Kevin.

Ah, nevermind. I suppose this is just another "buy the card, not the grade" post.

Centering's a little better than 55/45, believe it or not. That's easily within PSA 10 standards.

If a perfectly centered one in a PSA 10 holder shows up, it'll probably go for a nice premium.

Just because PSA's standards are less strict than the ones you have for your own collection doesn't mean that you're wasting your time.

Sometimes, I really wonder what some of you folks think with regard to centering and grading. The card in question is easily within the standards for PSA 10 centering.

If the OP is going to be this critical of centering and cites that as the primary criteria, then he will be bound for disappointment more times than not.

The issue with the card is that the borders are not that large and even a slight centering shift or tilt will be noticeable. However, given the tolerance for the GEM MINT grade by PSA/SGC/BGS, the card does not need to be 50/50 left to right to garner a GEM MINT grade.

Don't pretend you know who I am. If I wasn't carrying my etch-a-sketch at the show you'd have no idea what I looked like.

Angry not should you become. Easier friends to be, it is.

The centering is way off, top to bottom.
