I will be there on Friday.

For those who may be planning to stay in the area overnight, the Silver Legacy in Reno has weekend rooms at only $59 per night.

I'm game for an AA at the Nugget. How about Friday at 12:30
in the coining room? I'll have a white straw cowboy hat on so
that you can easily find me!

My Dad's coming to visit here in Napa valley for a couple weeks... Saturday would be a nice opportunity to come up to Carson (a 3-hour tour!!), he'd probably enjoy it... Where in Carson? When? Is there an itinerary I can download and print?

The Old Mint building is at 600 North Carson Street in Carson City.

The show runs from 8:30 to 4:30 Friday and Saturday.

There is a flyer on the Nevada Museum website.

There is also a Carson City Collectors Club meeting, not sure which day it is on though.

The meeting is Friday 1:00 to 4:00.
  • I'll be there probably Friday; maybe Saturday too.

I will be wearing a ball cap that says Care Flight.

Wow, what a novel concept having a coin show on the weekend when working stiffs can actually attend. Usually they start mid-week and by the weekend all that's left are picked over widgets

Show itslef was sparce for material.

People wise was great. Had a godo CCCCOA meeting, and a great dinner.

Ben- Sat next to your buddy at dinner.

The coin displayed by AU and AG is amazing. The club went crazy over it. Really a treat he brought it along.

A very small show in a great location. The press was running both days making Lincoln medals. AU and AG's 1870 CC seated display was great. And the awful awful burger accross the street was a great lunch. And as you can imagine there were lots of CC's for sale. Most of what I bought was purchased at Norther Nevada Coin right accros the street from the mint (mainly more examples of the 1882 CC vam 2 series).
  • Sounds like a neat show, wish I coulda been there.

I concur that it was a blast. My dollar was well received by all and having it on display for
the first time in 139 years was just a dream come true. My thanks to all at the club
meeting (I was given an honorary membership!). I did pay my $20 to Rusty on Saturday
just to be fair and not to take money from the club (they seem to run in a negative as
    the dues are soooooo cheap).
Met lots of fine folks, had a great lunch at the Nugget with Roger and Todd and just had
    an overall blast.
Drive home was 7.5 hours and boy it's off to bed early tonight!
