Nolan Ryan Master Set 100% Complete

Just to let everyone know I finally completed my Nolan Ryan Master Set. At least until something gets added and I'll have to track that one down.

If you'd like to see any cards I have in my set, just email me which one and I'll add it to my set.

Can you take a look at my set and see if there's any cards I need upgrading that you might have and willing to sell or trade. I've got extra Ryan cards to trade!

Great set!! I would love to see you list ALL of your pics on the registry, but I understand how much work that is, especially since you like to cover up the cert number. You really have some nice grades too! Especially on some of the key cards!

Kudos. Very nice set. I noticed the Topps Master set of Ryan you have is not 100% complete. Looks like 1973 Topps Comics is in that set but not master set. Seems odd that it was not part of master set as well. I suspect that is on the hit list. Any other cards you know of that are out there not yet in the master set? or are you down to just upgrading. Excellent work.

  • Congratulations on a great accomplishment. Hopefully, PSA will not add anything like matchbooks which happened on my Larry Bird Master Set.

    Great set, Roland!

I still need to see if PSA will cross over the 1972 Candy Lid I have.

    Fantastic and comprehensive collection

That's an unreal feat. Congrats, You're next project should be getting scans up on every card. There are cards in that set that I have never seen and would to see them.
  • Thanks guys!! It would be very time consuming to add scans to all the cards, but I will add the ones you want just let me know.

As for how long it took me to do this set well I started on the Basic first and then the Master topps set and then in 2007 I started the Master set. The only reason I got finished with this set is because my extensive network of Ryan collectors I found. So, when a card was added or needed a card I would call on all these guys out there and they would help out.

I've got about another 200 cards that need to be graded and added to the set. Like the Team Issue postcards, but these are so tough to figure out the years. I've got just about all them but need to figure out the years. Lots more, stay tuned!

    Thanks again,

    Roland

    Wow! Incredible stuff, great job.
  • Amazing! What would you consider the toughest card you had to find?
Do You Collect image Baseball 1937,1965-94,2008-09?
    Or Regional Canadian Baseball Issues?

  • Well, there were lots of cards that were hard to find. Here is a list

    1968 Ven Rookie
    1972 Ven Stamps
    1970 Transogram
    1973 Topps Pinup
    1982 FBI Disc

And these are graded PSA 6 and lower.

But, the hardest and still looking for it is a 1973 Topps Comic to add to the set.

Also the 1993 Spectrum Gold Signature cards were kind of hard. The 1993 Spectrum #10 Gold Signature was the last card I added to set to make 100%. It took almost a year to find.
