    Agreed. He's coming as a backup. This was on the Rangers website: Rangers MLB Blog

    Maybe a pennant race and coming back to where it all started with hitting coach Rudy Jaramillio will rejuvanate him. WOW. Still in shock. But this also means that something is really wrong with starter Jarrod Saltalamacchia.

    Right steroids. I agree there too. Hey you can't rain on my parade!!! Guy s batting higher than either of our catchers right now. With Salty on the DL this will be a nice veteran presence in the clubhouse, veteran bat on the bench. I like the move.

    Definitely an upgrade over what we have now. Teagarden was rushed to the majors and is hitting at AA level and Salty cn't stay healhty.

    Pudge has gotten 4 consecutive hits for the Rangers over a 7 year span. His last two at bats with the Rangers in 2002 were a double and a home run, tonight he has started with a single and a double. Keep 'em coming Pudge.
