Yeah I saw that. Kudos to the players who stayed the whole night -- including A.J. Burnett.

Also, Steinbrenner always donates generously to the Jimmy Fund.

Wow, that is truly a great thing!

Absolutley pains me to hear about children suffering like that though, great job New York Yankees.

DAMN! Read about these poor kids and then think "How the hell can I get pissed off when my sub comes back a "7" and I thought it should be an "8"!
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

As much crap as he gets for being over the top and a crazy owner and stuff, Steinbrenner is actually a very generous guy. He's given a ton of money to various causes around Tampa, and is actually having a new school named after him in Lutz, FL, a few miles north of Tampa. I also remember seeing during the college baseball tournament that he donated money to UNC-Chapel Hill for renovations to their baseball stadium.

Great to see people actually give back for once.

You're right Goot. Steinbrenner has been a big benefactor in the past of one charity that we have close ties with (The Children's Dream Fund). Several years ago we would send players to sign autographs at our yearly auctions. That would always draw a crowd.
