Removing the tag off of a mattress and a sticker off of a slab

I've done both . I thought I was the only one......Apparently not. MJ

Description from Pinnacle

A sharply struck superb gem featuring pleasing color. The obverse exhibits a plum, olive green and autumn gold hues across the lower third. The reverse has gold and silver hues over immaculate surfaces. Scarce in high grades, this is one of only thirteen coins so graded by PCGS. To date, they have not graded any finer. (Has been CAC certified although the sticker was removed by the previous owner.)

While I am not particularly pro or con CAC, I must ask why remove a CAC sticker from a slab?

I could see if you are removing the coin from the slab and believe the sticker might interfere with that removal, but otherwise, I don't understand why remove the bean.

I'm a designer by trade and I'm aesthetically charged. That's why I collect coins and well toned coins in particular. I find the sticker very distracting . One day, I will put all my coins in the same holder as I find multiple type holders distracting as well when displayed.

I've lobbied to get the sticker put on the back of the slab. I'm losing badly on that point : )

    Because they are an eyesore.

Some might do so in order to claim the coin is a slam-dunk upgrade candidate or simply to infer such in the case of an OGH slab.
