Next time someone calls Steve at BBCE for a group rip...

...please add hockey...anything 1979 Topps through the 80's...I am sure he (Steve) could offer some suggestions if you're not a hockey guy...we hockey guys would love to be included on these group rips and, while I do not personally collect baseball or foosball or basketball, might crossover to another sport for a few packs just for fun...

    Actually evertime I have been in on a RIP I have had Steve throw in a unopened hockey box of some type.

    Patrick the guys from time to time have done Hockey rips.

    If I remember I think they did an 84 OPC rip that turned out well.

    I've got a box of 84 OPC I got from BBCE awhile ago that I could sell to you guys if interested. I bought two boxes, got what I wanted out of one box, the other is still wrapped.

    I am actually adding a box of hockey to my order.

    As far as basketball goes, the only good stuff is too expensive and the cheaper stuff isn't worth busting.

    I'm guessing the foosball collectors also feel a bit left out. image Maybe Topps will put some table-soccer champs in the next A&G issue.

    You guys could probably start your own group rip. It's not difficult, and it's open to everyone. I don't think Steve would mind either. image

    I was thinking about organizing one of these I while back and made a list of packs and prices. I will pull it together and contact Steve tomorrow or Tuesday and post a new thread. If I remember correctly my calculations were based on 24 lots at about $100 with somewhere in the vicinity of 30-40 packs. I was using as my centerpiece 81 OPC which is a $1300 box and has some fantastic rookies and second year cards.

    '81 and '89 look great (especially the price on the '89) We could also rip Alex's OPC box for about 12.50/pack...A lot of people seem to be building this set in the registry too...

    I think the Turgeon, Shanahan and Hull rookies were 1988 image

    What about 1986 Topps or OPC? go for the Roy or Lemieux rc's

    or also a case break on the '89 Topps, if Steve will mail off the boxes...and entire box of something would be fun...

    I just got a couple packs of 86/87 Topps Hockey with my Football rip order

    A box of 86/87 Topps with the Roy RC would break down to $12.50 a pack with

    the usual discount if we did a group rip on that?

    I would be in for 4 to 6 packs?

    Also a case rip of 89/90 Topps Hockey would be cool at only $22.50 ea with discount?

    I would take one of those too image

    If anyone puts something together I WANT IN!

    If you are ripping OPC packs from the 80's then I am in. If it is Topps...then i'd have to pass.

    I added a 2005 Upper Deck Ice to the last baseball vending box rip.
    I think Steve had the price wrong as he sold it to me for $32 and I see them on Ebay for $80-95.
