Ebay Bucks...this is awesome.....

I just looked and saw I have $363.00 in ebay bucks with time togo...I'm pretty happy about this, that means a 500.00 card ( max you can get in a 3 month period) is going to be free.
Thanks to the board members who pointed this program out, It's a huge discount when you goto buy that big card!!
gotta love it!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
when the 3 month period ends you use the bucks to pay for a purchase, so lets say you earned 100.00 in bucks, you then get to pay for a card and get the 100.00 off, ebay pays the seller the 100.00

Do you get only ONE three month period? Or can you get up to $500.00 every three months (Not that I am in a position to get that now, but good to know for future use)

That might get a card or a portion towards a card.
Hopefully it will continue----- Sonny
Check for eligibility.
edited to add:
To me, it's as simple as eBay passing along a small portion of the final value fees associated with a purchase to the buyer. It is more lucrative to admit people who trend towards high dollar purchases.
A seller can list something for X number of dollars all day long, but unless that buyer comes along and makes the purchase, the powers that be can't pad the banking account. That's why it's more lucrative to market the program to big spenders.
Sonny, every dollar counts, this way you can bid a lil more for an item that you really want.

<< <i>Is there a catch to this at all? >>
I used it last period - no catch.

Raw or unopened on Ebay isn't too trustworthy
and I don't really go for hi dollar graded
Great program though!
Thank you.
However, my total purchases will probably be less than $363 let alone my 2%.
I just signed up and answered my own question - seems that regular auction format items qualify as well
Seems really good
Heres a tutorial that explains it really well
And to an earlier post on the "catch", it appears there is none - probably just an effort by Ebay to encourage more sales.

<< <i>Do you have to use BIN? >>
No , any purchase will do.
I've been doing it for several months spent my first accumulation last month. Love the freebies!

I'm not going to spend $25,000.00 anytime soon, to get $500 worth of bucks, but its definetly better than nothing, every little bit adds up!
<< <i>Awesome I guess since I spend 3k a month on ebay that's to much for them to let me enroll . >>
Must be random as I am in and I don't spend that much......

I once emailed them and asked why not. They replied that it is always random. You would think that in 10 years I would hit the random list at least once.
i wish there was a better alternative to Ebay...maybe one day.

<< <i>I've gotten invites from eBay, only for them to tell me it was a mistake and that I didn't qualify. I'm too low budget to get into the program! >>
I'm as low budget as it gets and I have been in the program for about 6 months. $1.07 earned last time period.
<< <i>Just got the VIP link as well... Lets see what VIP will give us... It states about coupons, and special deals.... >>
Last quarter, under the VIP program, the only incentive I saw was a 2 week period in September where they doubled the ebay bucks from 2% to 4%. I maxed out for the quarter and they renewed my status for another 12 months in the program. So it looks like it'll be around for awhile.
This is known as “bad luck.”
Look out cheap Steve Young cards....
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

I think they did that for everyone....unless I am a VIP which I don't think I am....but who knows.
