High grade 1895 "2mm" penny on ebay

Rare 1895 penny

I haven't seen one of these up for a long time. It's at £843 with under an hour to go.

Finished at £863.50. Wow. It's probably only GEF as well.

Yikes, I agree this is NOT unc. Also, I have seen quite a few up for sale in auction venues and some UK dealer lists but not ebay. I think that was a big price, bit who is to say these days? In TPG terms, probably this would be AU53/55 IMO.

Looks like Bidder No. 6 was willing to pay even more for it.

That's incredible detail for something only 2mm in diameter. I mean, that's WAY smaller than a "Panama Pill".

A 2mm bronze penny would make a Maundy penny look like a crown, I reckon.

Does anyone know who the seller is? I saw they had quite a few high proced items.
