Home Trading Cards & Memorabilia Forum

A friend of mine may have given me bad info a week ago.

Along with the cards my grandfather sent he sent me the first 99 players voteD in HOF in their gold backround plaque post cards in perfect condition except just one. Does anyone know where I can see where these are worth so I may do it mayself? If not I thank you for the help. I also have several consecutive yeards of major league baseball from the 40's, Brooklyn Dodgers and Yankees armed services edition. Ted Seaver and Stan Musial signatures on the backs of old magazines. Also whos who books every year in the forties.Winning Baseball by Ethan Allen in 1942.Line drive the Babae Ruth story with pamphlet and 20 perfect cards that come with it from 1991 Curtis management group. Street and Smiths Baseball pictorial book from1943 and 1944. Last but not least 1946 Red Sox Base ball souvenir with signed poster from Tom Yawkee to Ted Willioms all with photos and signatures of 40 players from the team. Last but not least 8 by 11 signed pics from Jimmy Foxx, Joe Cronin, Johnny Pesky. Bob Doer, Dom Di Maggio but no Ted Williams though. All are mint. How can i find out what these are worth. I try to check ebay but never seem to find what im looking for. I have gone to several book stores and one person said to find "the blue book"? Anyone ever hear of it or know what it means because all the other book stores had no idea what I was talking about

  • You can buy the Gold HOF Plaques from the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

Just give them a call. They use to cost $.25 each.

I'm not sure what a 'Ted Seaver' autograph goes for these days.

If you're planning to sell this, send a PM to EAsports on this board.

If you could take pictures of the items, you would get a lot of help.

Are you interested in selling them?

Not to sound picky, but please try proofreading. It may help some of use understand what you're trying to say without having to reread your post.

Also, "last but not least" is usually reserved for the final item, not the final two...
  • This is to all members of the board. Please forgive my lousy posts. I am on SSDI due to three ruptured discs in my back and failed fusion so the multiple medications i must take can at times make my posts look like they are written by a three year old. I will make an effort to make them better. I just felt you all should know since this has been brought up a few times and i do not mean to offend anyone by it. Thank you for understanding. As soon as I get the info needed to show the worth of these articles are all for sale. I would never charge the posted price but I also do not want to be taken advantage of. Please do not take this as an insult as thats not what Im trying to say.
  • If you could show pictures of the items, than a range of what they are worth and what they typically sell for will be available for you.
