    The first baseball card I ever purchased was a 1985 Topps Mattingly. I sold all of my cards over the years and this is the only one I kept!

  • While your talking about Mattingly.... I remember back in the "box busting" days, I would say around 2000 or so, I bought two boxes of 2000 Greats of the Game in hopes of pulling a Mantle Yankees Clippings, but instead pulled a Mattingly and nothing in the other box. I think it booked at about $350 back then, can't remember exactly, but I know they are worth close to nothing these days...
