I have a cover dated June 29th 1878 with 3 of the 3 cent types you like. Maybe I can send you a scan? You could PM me an email address so I could send you a scan.

It is not out of the realm of possibility that it could be a new EKU. The recorded EKU now is July 2, 1878. Not really sure I can see much in a scan but give it a try.
