Joe Dimaggio rookie card

I see on ebay they have it listed as #250 by goudey gum in 1938. He has a big face and yellow border. I have two cards that are numbered #274 and everything is the same except the higher number has facts written on front of card. I have been told by a friend of mine that in the older cards the higher numbers were more rare. Are both these cards considered rookie cards? If so are they both worth the same if graded with exact number by PSA? Thanks to anyone in advance for helping me. Sorry if it seems like a dumb question but i wanted to ask the experts.

These 2 DiMaggios are considered his rookie card by many people. However, there are some earlier examples such as the 1936 Goudey wide pen. As far as the value, the #274 is definitely the more valuable of the 2 with all things being equal.
