Question about Valcambi bars with rose

Do they really look like this in hand (dark background)? What is the process that gives that look, if so?

Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen one, but there's no way a .9999 fine gold bar would have a black cameo appearance, unless it's been "colorized." That's probably just a photographic effect.

It's a cameo proof. The background is mirrored and the lighting angle gives this effect.

Why the odd weight---34,992 gm? What is 3 TOLAS?

Thanks for the replies. Yes, it reminded of gold-proof that is why I asked, but wasn't sure if just photography-lighting effect or some type of 'frosting' finish?
