Just kidding, and I wish I could make it this year.
But those that do go, have a good time, and I hope it's as much of a success as it was last year
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

I thought PCGS members getting caught selling their "Members only shirts" would get "poofed" at a convention site for real.
How about a nice Mexican food lunch for a particularly legendary dealer?

Bad time for a grading show. The Goldbergs auction will be the "Highlight" for me to decide which show to attend. I hope PCGS does not lose money on this one.
Why does PCGS need to do this show as it is two weeks before Long Beach ?

Thanks,

The good news is now you have an idea of where to escape to when you decide to ditch Nebraska when you turn 18...
As long as Dad isn't uptight about bringing you to Las Vegas you would have a great time both at the show and strolling around town.
I am aware of the fact that many people today still harbor misgivings about Las Vegas and its "sin city" image, especially with preconcieved notions of how the city's image could potentially "pollute" the minds of young people. Just like sex ed in school, I believe that unbiased exposure, explaination and education is a much better teaching tool than denial, avoidance and criticism. Parents themselves though, must be open-minded enough to see beyond their own insecurities before all that can happen.
I believe the first time I had ever visited Las Vegas was around the age of three, and back then I was still living in a foreign country (actually on one trip around that age my travel group caused a giant scare at the former MGM Grand - heck, at the time it was less than two years removed from that tragic fire that happened there, but that's another story). Back then Vegas was still a completely no questions adult only destination...the family entertainment movement was still more than a decade away at that time. Every since I was about 8 years old I have made multiple trips a year to Las Vegas. I loved the place then and I still enjoy visiting the place now.
Nowadays I am lucky enough to travel to Las Vegas every few weeks. The peoplewatching experience on the Strip especially on weekend nights alone is enough to merit heading over there.
Oh yeah...witnessing all that debauchery and gambling at that young age ultimately never did destroy my morality or mentality, which is totally contrary to what many of my aunts and uncles vowed to my Dad was a guarantee to happen. The one Aunt who was and still is the most cynical about the Las Vegas atmosphere didn't exactly bear normal-minded kids either, but I won't get into that here.

I can't think of a more frustrating place for anyone between the ages of 12 and 20 than Vegas. So much to do, but too young to do any of it (legally anyway).
Besides, at age 15 I can recall not wanting to hang out with the Aging P & M for any extended period of time.

I'd planned to go, but I sold my present house too quickly and now have to close escrow and move before the end of August.
I'll be meeting a moving van at my new home the first day of the show
