How weird is this

Okay about a week and a half ago I get an email from a guy I sold some Doug Williams Rookies to on eBay inquiring if I shipped his items or not. Not only did a ship the next business day after receiving payment, I included an autographed rookie card I had gotten in person back in 1984 from Doug. (from my area) Every item I ship I include the dc# in the buyers feedback so I can always track items quickly if problems arise. Well I track the item for him as soon as he messages me and it shows where it was delivered a week earlier. He does not respond anything but saying he will check with his post office. I message him again to see if he found the cards or if there was still a problem. He never responds. Tonight a little over a week later he leaves a positive feedback that simply reads "fast shipping"

Does this sound a little bizarre to anyone else?

Not necessarily. It could very well be that someone else in his household had picked up the mail and not given him that package.

Yes, or that it was at his PO and he saw the postmark and knew you had indeed done your part.

I find it weird he didn't thank you for the auto'd one.

You'd think he would have at least sent you a "thank you" email or something to that effect. Nothing surprises me anymore in this world today.

I let a guy pull out onto a very busy street today, who would've probably sat there for at least another five minutes or so due to all the traffic. Do you think he could have at least waved his hand to signal a 'thank you'? I honked my horn and thanked him! He looked at me like wtf? He had no clue!

If I had a week to live, I think I would've shot the guy! Sorry about the outburst .... I've got OARS (Old Age Rage Syndrome).

    Nope.

MANY buyers are pretty clueless about who sent them what
    and when it arrived.

For that reason, PayPal does not accept "buyer already left
positive feedback" as a seller's standalone defense to a
    buyer's Item Not Received claim.

True. But at the same time, not too many people out there can truthfully wear a t-shirt saying, "I am a Super Bowl MVP."

The best Doug Williams story happened during media day before the Super Bowl when a writer asked him how long had he been a black quarterback.

    Which reminds me of ...

Once, when Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown was asked if his unusually effective curve ball was the result of his "unusual" hand, he replied that he didn't know because he had never thrown with a normal hand.

I'm not surprised by anything that happens on eBay anymore. There are A LOT of completely clueless buyers (and sellers).
