Heres a story from the National that many people will like about our buddy & Tiger Woods cards..

One of my good friends at the National this year sold 2 Bgs 9 01 Sp Tiger Woods rc's for $2100. The cards had a lot of chipping on the edges so the cards couldnt recieve a 9.5 because of it. The surface, centering (no borders & corners of the cards were nice.

My friend the next day went by Shoeless Joe's table & guess what he had 2 Bgs 9.5's. He checked the serial #'s @ they were 100% the same cards.

The best thing is guess what NO CHIPPING.

He is def good at what he does but hes a scumbag. You would think in the best interest of the hobby, topps, upper deck & all authentication & grading companies would do something stop him. He is killing there creditbility in the hobby everyday.

Best regards!

Does your friend have old scans of the cards?

Original scans of the cards in BGS 9 holders clearly showing the serial numbers and the chipping with side-by-side images of the BGS 9.5's with the same serial numbers and no chipping would be the best way to "prove" that Ed Norton did something underhanded. Without such evidence, it is only left for conjecture even though past evidence is overwhelming.
  • I may be kinda slow here but how did Shoeless Joe have the same serial number yet have different grades. Sorry for the dumb question because I am sure it makes sense because I am the only one asking this

The same serial number is on the card, not the slab.

The serial numbers on the cards are allegedly the same.

NOT the cert numbers on the slabs.

  • I dont know if I can get scan of the 9 or the 9.5's now, but I will attemp to get the serial #'s now.

  • ah ok. I thought he meant the same slab serial number. So I take it that BGS was there to do a same day grade?

Did your friend sell them for $1050.00 apiece or $2100.00 apiece?

if he sold at $1050 apiece, does he have any more?
