Corners or Centering

On a Vintage Football card, (57 Topps) what, in your opinion is more important. Better centering, or a little worse centering and sharper corners? As alwsays, thanks for your comments.

  • 100% CORNERS. I'd take an o/c card long before one with weak corners.

So you think a card with better centering but has some paper loss on a couple of corners is better than a card with a little less centering, but sharper coeners? Thanks.

Sorry, what I meant was, a card with sharper corners but a little less in centering is in your opinion, better than the card wiuth better centering? Thanks.

  • I prefer centering over corners.

For my raw sets, I would rather a card that has perfect centering but corners that would get a PSA 6 grade over a card with PSA 8 corners and obvious off center.

Centering is more important to me. There are some cards that stand out more with poor centering and some can get away with a little OC. I have noticed that the years I collect PSA 6s sell for more than PSA 8OC and sometimes it is not even close.

I go by how closely I have to examine the card to see the flaw. I can tell from across the room if a card is badly centered, so I tend to favor good centering over sharp corners.

Chalkup a vote for centering as more important.

You guys are great as always with your opinions. I really value them. When I receive the new card, I will put them both on here and see what everyone thinks. Thanks again for your input.
