What a pleasure to have a world coin auction at ANA!

If I'm not mistaken, the last time there has been a significant offering of world coins at an ANA auction was in 1981. I have long found that situation inexcusable, and am thrilled that Ponterio had a sale here this year. Let's hope that world coin auctions will become a regular feature of the ANA conventions!

I agree ..... and it will be better if I've actually won one of the four coins I bid on.image

Don't forget 1983 and 1989. Possibly you could also consider 1991. Probably others. I'm sure there's something that could be said about the amount of (non-US-coin) numismatic items in the auction sale and the company holding it, but I'll let someone else do so.
