The new cornerstone to my Yount collection

I'm the proud new owner of this fantastic Robin Yount rookie! I'm looking for opinions as to what might hold this back from a bump. I see the little print dot in the S of Brewers and the little spot in the top left corner of the white border is actually on the inside of the holder, not on the card. Also, the horizontal/diagonal line to the left of his name is a scratch on the holder.
I've added two scans of the front & two of the back so you can see the contrast against black and against white. Let me know your thoughts! Thanks for looking...

Sharp piece of cardboard you've got there.
What am I seeing on the top edge above the "E"? It looks like a little white edge chip

But I just wanted to say congrats on an awesome pickup! Even if it forever stays in that 9 case, it's a gorgeous card! If you're not selling it, I would just enjoy it as-is.
And I would certainly never, EVER crack it out to resub.
PSA grants 10s to cards with this condition (and I mean, much worse than that Yount ever thought about being)...
or
The PSA slabs are causing edge flaking.
I really hope it isn't the latter.
<< <i>I have so many 10s with small amounts of "white" on the edges...so one of two things is true...

I would say that most edge chips or abrasions are caused while the card is being removed from the cardsaver (most likely by the slabber). I have some really bad ones that I sub'd that received 10's but came back with this damage.
If your not careful reaching into the cardsaver, it's easy to brush a thumb accross an edge and do a little damage.
In addition, I have some cards with edge chipping caused from sliding around in the slab. The damage aligns perfectly with the corner notches of the slabs

Good catch. It's a tiny speck of an edge chip.

I hate edge chips. It's the first thing I look for on a card.
Still, that's a great card.

Thankfully it looks worse in the scan than it does in my hand.
<< <i>By the cheapest and crappiest looking 1975 Topps PSA 10 you can find and send it with the Yount directly to Joe and ask for an explanation why your Yount isn't a 10. >>
Ha...I wonder if that would work.
<< <i>3,712 Younts given a grade and no 10s...that's what will keep it from a bump. >>

I'd sure would have liked to be the one to own that bad boy.
Nice card.
That's about as close to a 10 as ya gonna see.
I'd have to see it under a 10X.
I'd be proud to have the 9.
Congratulations on a really nice pickup.

Would love to have your issues with all my Carter rookies (620) If I could have a bump from a 8 to a 8.5 or 9 --- a 10 would be crazy -- great pick up

Don't waste your time and fees listing on ebay before getting in touch me by PM or at gregmo32@aol.com !
<< <i>I really don't think they would not grade this a '10' simply because there are none to date. I don't collect '75's, but I sure as hell know how difficult the set is to get a 10, and certainly feel this is just as nice as those that I've seen. Toss it up on the 75 thread on the Registry board for some 'expert' opinions - lord knows those folks have seen thousands of these. And good luck! >>
Good call...hadn't thought of that.
