  • You can't compare an autograph card that was probably done very quickly at a game to a certified autograph card. You would have to compare it to multiple types of exemplars

Having done probably dozens of signings with the Rocket in the past several years... I've never seen an autograph that looked like that.

If that was claimed to have been done in the last decade or two... I'd jump all over that with a FAKE label... but who knows, maybe it was signed in the 80's

The Clemens is definitely different...but it appears to be written by the same hand that signed any number of the certified autos I've seen.

The Longoria looks the like one I got TTM when he was in the minors. You should see the huge difference in how he signs his name in person compared to last year.

I'll try and get some scans up

One thing about autographs is, although people change their signature, sign quick sigs in person, sign different during a paid signing, there will always be a handwriting characteristic that remains the same.

That's how people who have seen 1,000's of exemplars of an athletes signature can within a few seconds know if its legit or not.
For the better forgeries, a few more seconds to determine.

Jeters autograph is one I have researched and looked at thousands and thousands of in the past 12 years. I've obtained him in person 10+ times during spring training and regular season. I am 100% confident in any Jeter opinion I give.
