Two Mickey Mantle cards and a Sandy Koufax card help needed

A friend of mine called me and asked me to take a look at some baseball cards she has had for a long time. I know next to nothing about baseball cards (I'm a coin guy) but when I heard the names I knew she needed to find out as much as possible before she tries to sell them.

Any opinion on worth, condition, and any other information would be greatly appreciated.

Would it be worth her time to try to get them graded before selling?

Below are a couple of quick pics I snapped of them.

Each card is in a lexan style plastic holder. The holders are older looking and have a lot of hairlines and cracks. Without knowing much about cards, I really didnt want to remove them from the holders unless it was needed (I hate when people incorrectly handle coins and didnt want to be that guy lol).

I'm adding a link below each picture that has the full sized photos.

I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.

You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.

No need to grade. They'll do the same or better raw. Get them out of those crappy holders when prepping for sale though. Pencil on the last Mantle is a bummer.

Just an observation on my part.

Cards appear to be in screw down holders. The Koufax and 66 Mantle look to be in the type that have a recessed area for the card (which is good in that no pressure is placed on the card) but the 58 Mantle All Star appears to be in one that does not have the recess and has cracks showing on the area where the corner of the card is.

I'm going to assume that the screws are extremely tight on that and the card could separate if it has stuck to the holder due to the amount of pressure caused by the screws holding the holder together so I would go slowly when taking that card out.

    Good to know and noted.

What is a good holder that you would suggest for long term storage?

    Thanks,
    Paul

I would go with a simple penny sleeve and a top loader.
