Race to 200 k's Who will get there first?

lawnmowermanlawnmowerman Posts: 19,477 ✭✭✭✭
First up we have the Sillies 1st baseman, Ryan Dave Howard Kingman at 130 k's, 261 BA, 26 HR's

Next we have the Rays 1st baseman, Calos Pena at 138 k's , 215 BA, 27 HR's

My money is Howard. He is trailing but I have faith he will pull through in the end......he always does.

edit....Between these two players.....Steve! image

Actually, Mark Reynolds of the Diamondbacks is leading with 148 K's.

LOL Matty can't even get this right. Why check stats when you can blurb the wrong answer! Must be years of banging your head on the wall watching
the Cgirls and Mets..It has been what.....decades since either one of them won anything.

Would you be thinking that come Aug you would be done with talking Met smack and off talking about how Howard, who is outhitting the entire
Met lineup, would be striking out a lot?

I would insert a fancy Met stat here, but does it really matter? You all are out of it. Good luck fending off the Nats!

Later this season, Ryan Howard will be participating in the Playoffs and the World Series, and the Mets players will all be watching it...how do ya like them apples?

What? You don't understand the question? I never said anythng about the rest of the league. My question was out of the the two players which one will get there first.

Btw stain, are you still spelling Jayson Werth, "Jason Worth" like you did a while back??

Kingbandwagon doesn't even know how to spell "his" team players names.

Get your excuses ready stain, the Yucs are almost ready for kickoff image

Have you seen Worth's stats? There is a reason for that!

NIce spin. How long did it take you to make that one up?

I'll be happy to dig up the thread if you haven't edited it already.

How about a write in vote for Tim Lincecum who is going tonight and has 191 K's on the season?

    MLB Player Search - worth
No players matched your search criteria.

No, I haven't seen Worth's stats. Who is Worth?

Howard only struck out 3 times tonight!

He really needs to pick it up if he's gonna catch Pena.

This from Mr. BS artist himself.

    Good for you.
  • All one can say about RYan Howard's sake is...thank God he has excellent teammates!! Because with the great play of his excelllent teammates, he has somehow received credit that is far above what HIS contribution truly is.

Howard is a good hitter...Kingman was for many years too. Sexson was good too. In the end, it will be a close race as to who was the better of the three.
  • Reynolds is the other choice, but he is having a monster season image despite the K/'s

We should make this an ongoing thread through his career and update his amazing climb towards being the new strike out king.

As of yesterday, he is 69th on the active leaderboard for strikeouts, with not one younger player ranked ahead of him, an achievement that should not be overlooked with the late start to his career.

Watch out Bay! He is gaining on you!~

    67. Jason Bay (30) 835 R
    Brian Giles (38) 835 L
    69. Ryan Howard (29) 826 L
    Kevin Millar (37) 826 R

Howard is also ranked number 365 for the all-time strikeout leaderboard!

Poor Eddie Joost is soon to be passed over.
