The "Official" 1979 Topps Baseball Vending Case Group Rip - SOLD OUT

Please send your $143.00 payment to BBCE at their PayPal address which is bbcexchange@sprintmail.com or call BBCE to pay direct with credit card as soon as possible.

Be sure to include in your PayPal message your user name, real name and what you are paying for. Also in the message line include "CU Forum Group Rip".

Post here after your payment has been sent, and I will mark you as paid.



There was alot of interest in this last night as a group rip item, so I contacted Steve at BBCE to set this up. He was very gracious and has given us our usual 10% group discount.

Please wait until we are sold out before sending payments. I will post an update here when we are sold out. For those that have not been in past breaks, just post a reply stating you want a slot. Each person will be responsible for sending the correct amount to BBCE and be sure to include in your PayPal message your user name, real name and what you are paying for. Also in the message line include "CU Forum Group Rip". Payment will be sent to BBCE at their PayPal address which is bbcexchange@sprintmail.com.

I am limiting this to one box per person for now so that everyone has a chance to participate.

    Does anyone know if you can pull dups from a 79 vending box? Is there a chance to pull more then one Ozzie from a box?

    I have pulled dups and sometimes 3 of a card from vending. Than being said, I would guess that there is about a 30% - 40% chance of no Ozzie at all.

    The reason I ask is because I just opened a few 85 vending boxes and there were no dups in any of them.

    How many cards in a vending box? 500? How many cards in the set? 700? So 500/700 means the odds of pulling a non O/C Smith RC out of a box are about 2 percent?

    I posted to put me down for a box on the original thread last night suggesting the group rip but just got home from work and don't see my name on the list. Not sure why. If anyone backs out, I'd be willing to take their place.

    I just picked up my order from Steve today and even though I didn't participate in this rip I saw the boxes you guys just bought from him. All I can say is you guys are so screwed!! I'm just kidding, they looked awsome. The boxes looked like they were made yesterday. Good luck to you guys and I look forward to seeing a minty fresh well centered Ozzie.

    That's a great price!

    I just checked his web - he has them listed at 200$.

    I remember buying a vending box around 1992 or so - cards looked pretty good - no Oz or Ryan tho - but that's the luck of the draw.

    I had some dupes - but not many if memory serves - I still have the box less the cards I traded or sold.
