Did I just get scammed out of $.78 because all of you made me feel bad?

As a follow up to my thread about the guy that supposedly had to pay postage due on a card he won that I shipped him, apparently he is no longer a registered user on ebay as his account has been suspended or he closed it. So, either he is running this little scam on all the folks he bought from or he was so distraut over my smarta$$ email or the extra postage he had pay that he packed his sh*t up and is quitting ebay.

I've had a bunch of different transactions with this guy in the past, hundreds of dollars worth of sales. He's also a Registry participant. He's fine, and I wouldn't hesitate to have more transactions with him in the future. I don't know what his problem is with Ebay though, as he's had a few accounts get NARUed.

  • I could understand a $0.50 scam but $0.78 is pushing it. The guy is risking federal indictment with that kind of coin. Would hate for him to end up in a cell with Plexiglass Boreass over that amount.

All this from someone who won't even pick up any less than $20 if he saw it laying on the ground.

paypal money is different. All I have to do is sit at my desk and make a few clicks instead of actually bending over.

lol, do you actually think that I'm overweight, or wouldn't pick up $17 laying on the ground?
  • earlier someone said you wouldn't pick up less than $20 on the ground. Unsure if you said that or not. I just think most who say that are just saying that. When it came to it, they would. In this situation, 2 threads about the equivelent of a Taco Bell taco, I think you would snag that $20.

I'm unsure of your weight. I only mentioned that as I can see that as being a valid reason (aside from being rich) one wouldn't pick up less than $20.

edit- After rereading, I now interpret it as you would pick up the $. Oops. image

I said that in jest because some people like to give me a hard time because I got into an argument with someone and posted (regretfully) how much I paid in taxes last year. I also posted pictures of my new house and cars in response to someone calling bullsh*t on me (regretfully as well). Since then the poster and I have made nice and now plan on getting together and baking cookies with our families each year.

Anyway, just to clear up any confusion. I am not wealthy and I would pick up $20 on the ground, but probably not anything under $12.

I am sure corvette will be at The National next year in Atlanta. I am going to put a $10 bill tied to a string on the floor and see how far he will chase it while trying to pick it up off the ground before he figures it out. Who wants to film it for YouTube?

I don't think the Nationl is in Atlanta, but I would do that for comic relief if nothig else. Also, all of the chicks at the convention would dig it.

Screw the $0.78. I'm just impressed at all the pipe you laid at/near SEC football games.

If you caught me on a good night then maybe. But if you caught me on a nice chilled petron' blackout night then you might be less than impressed or sickened even, lol.
