Anyone hear anymore of the panel vote?

I was wondering if anyone has heard any more about the panel variation vote? I recieved an e-mail from a guy that stated that Joe said at the nationals that the vote to keep the panels in the sets were ahead . i just cant see that. The mesage board was almost entirely people wanting the variations out. How will we know the true results of this vote? I still feel that PSA will keep them in the registry just to try and make more money. Are there any others out there besides me that is ready to give the registry up also or is it just me? I feel like these variations are overkill.

<< <i>To be honest it really doesn't matter if they keep them or throw them out. Many of the Master Sets are so big no one has a prayer of completing them either way. >>
Kevin,
I still can't believe you have as many Ripkens as you do. If I had to pick someone to complete it my vote would be for you.
I would really love to know the vote count if that is indeed the case...
<< <i>It was previously stated that message boards participants are only 1% of PSA's business, so we don't really count. >>
Ha -- I replied without even seeing this, Anthony. I find that hard to believe, if most of the collectors of some of the largest and biggest master player sets have all voted against this.

This is a message to all the members,
There is a poll taking place right now regarding the panel issue.
For the record (and I went on record at the National Set Registry luncheon in front of 150 or so customers), I personally think that the different combinations should become an either/or in the registry - not separate requirements.
Unlike a true variation, the hand-cut issues simply come in different forms (entire panels, individual cards, connected to different players, etc).
Technically, they are not different cards, they were just cut differently.
That being said, the registry was built for collectors - our customers. So, regardless of what I think, we want to satisfy the people who have supported us for so long.
To my amazement (and I also made mention of this at the show) - so far, the voters are leaning towards keeping them in and disagree with my stance.
The point here is PLEASE make your stance known by voting. Cosetta Robbins is handling the voting process and I can assure you every vote counts.

I really don't think it's possible that any option other then option 2 could be winning.
Joe,
Your opinion is the same as almost every board member. Don't let player sets become watered down with endless panel variations!
