Commentary:
- Sub'ed the 56's thinking they might all be 7's (except for the Mays)... got one so that's cool... They were the best examples of cards in my partial set, so I was probably right thinking it was a 4-to-5 set overall... Sub'ed the Mays because it was a pretty good representative of the set overall... and well, it was Mays!
- With the exception of the Game Bat Edition, thought all the Pujols would be 10's... was at least correct twice!
- A bit shocked on only one card... About a month ago I asked the boards which was best when crossing over a BGS... to just sent for cross-over slabbed or crack and submit. Crack and submit seemed to be the preferred best chance. Got a PSA 8.5 on the 2001 Fleer Authority Albert Pujols RC... yeah, the very BGS 9.5 (subs: 10, 9.5, 9.5, 9.5) I cracked for this sub! Ouch!

Overall: Pleased with my second submission

Wait, Larry Craig played baseball, was a US Senator AND got caught doing illicit things in a Minnesota airport? Wow, you learn something new everyday LOL image

    LOL

Except, it's 1950 Bowman Football... played for the Packers, but maybe did stuff in a MN airport with a US Senator... who knows image

More like cracked out a card that BGS graded under contract to Fleer. There are a lot of 9.5s from the Fleer Authority sets that don't look like 9.5s that were graded from individuals' submissions.

not too bad...that Pujols authority is tuff to cross over...

that was a promotion with fleer and beckett at the time and they graded over 100 9.5 pujols cards....i have seen some of those beckett 9.5 that dont look like 9.5....ALL the fleer authority cards were graded by BGS in 2001 so the only way you can get a PSA 10 is to crackem! better luck next time

This was one submitted to BGS, not one of the box toppers from 2001. When I cracked it, I looked it over really good and one corner did look a little "not-razor-sharp", but not bad, and otherwise flawless... A 9 wouldn't have surprised me, but the 8.5 certainly did. That's basically PSA saying... it's an 8, but the centering is so darn perfect we'll give it an 8.5!

Either way, I should be able to get my money back out of it... and keep my eye out to just buy a PSA 10!

Got two more submissions I sent in at the National... but I think my next investment will be a jeweler's loupe before my next submission(s) image
