Did you know that Alex Rodriguez's salary is more than the Pittsburgh Pirates payroll. Does anyone care? Or is this the way it will always be.

    Pirates may have dealt away enough salary in recent weeks for that to be correct.

    According to espn Alex Rodriguez's salary is 33 mil and Pittsburgh payroll is 25.

    Well look at it this way.. The Pirates certainly dont care about winning so why should anyone care about their payroll?

    The 09 Pirates are not the first team that did not care if they won.

    MLB has had many teams through the years where owners only cared about making money winning was secondary.


    That is why it amazes me when people harp on the Yanks and such teams where owners try to win.
