My Autographed Card Collection

I'm a long time PSA board member....rarely post but enjoy the boards. I've been working on autographed cards mostly baseball RC. I call it my labor of love as I spend too much time getting the right cards and getting them signed. While I do buy autographed cards once in a while, I prefer to get them done myself. I hope some of you enjoy looking at the cards.

Here is a good one to start of my thread as this guy is not a great signer.....managed to get a pretty nice Bo sig for the collection at golf event in Palm Springs.

  • Thanks Mike. Your collection is top notch.

Another great Royal....I got this one done at a baseball dinner in LA. The signature isn't the greatest but still one of my favorites.

  • I was one of the lucky ones to get Rickey. He was honored at Petco Park on Friday night. I knew where he would come on/off the field. He signed after the ceremony. I was surprised he signed......he only signed a few.

  • Your 1986 Topps Bo is much nicer than my 1986 Topps Bo.

    Keep all the pictures coming!
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
  • I like the Jackson collection....very nice. I got a couple rookie cards done when the Braves came to town last week. Here's the first one.

  • Thanks Doug. I was really lucky as Rickey rarely signs for free. Here is the second Brave rookie card that I was able to get done.

  • Got the David John Hilton myself in Arizona during Spring Training. He's a tough autograph. I was happy to get him as he does not sign ttm. The Schmidt was a mail order send in...I'm planning to get Cey at Dodger stadium this year.

  • I got this one signed last weekend outside Petco Park. Very nice signed RC from this future HOFer.

  • Hi all,

Wahh..... puckplayer, it is so much interesting that you are having such a nice collection of autograph as well you done all that yourself, this is the best part in your autographs, i haven't any autograph like this but i need some of, can you please suggest me some ideas, to getting such autographs? the autographs with me are all buy from online websites.

    Thanks for sharing!
  • Tony likes to sign while walking so his autographs this weekend weren't top notch but I'll take it. Cool 1964RC from this future HOF manager.

  • I just noticed this thread. Sweet Pickups! Your collection is coming along really nicely,

  • Thanks Dan. I really enjoy getting these done in person when I can. I got this one done a couple weeks ago. He should be in the Hall very soon....one of the best at his position throughout the 60's-70's. He was a great signer as I was able to get quite a few of his cards signed.

  • I got this one done by mail order right before he was elected to the Hall....came out great. One of the most fearsome hitters of the 70's-80's.

  • Sticking with the Red Sox, here is the original "Pudge". He was the greatest American League catcher of his era. I also had him sign his 73 card with the Topps rookie cup....that one is even nicer.

  • My collection has grown since my last post in 2009 LOL. Thought I would revive this ancient thread. I'm now in several PSA registries for signed HOF rookies. Here's one from the NBA...received this back from PSA recently (graded 8/10).

  • Update: Because of several factors, most notably Covid, I'm now using TTM and private signings to add new signed cards. The opportunities to do IP graphing have dried up and work has had an impact on my free time. I know Ovechkin is being regarded has the greatest goal scorer of all time, but I believe it's this guy. He's a toughie as he doesn't do many private signings.

Beautiful Mario!! I don't think I have see a rookie with a HOF inscription before.

  • Thanks erba! I was able to get this signed through his agent who recently passed away. The card has since been graded/slabbed 8/10.

Old school ballplayers had the right idea; sign your name so it's legible.
