Unlike the last half cent from eBay, I actually like this one...

Was sold as an AU, and really I like it for that. Slider IMO, but depending on the day or grader could find its way into an MS holder.
A date that's getting tougher and tougher to find attractive examples of.

Where? I'm not seeing it. There's some lighting glare at 3pm. Is that what you mean?
The rim bruise at 4pm on the reverse is barely noticeable in hand.
I will agree though, that this one has very nice eye appeal for the grade.
By way of comparison, the following coin is in a PCGS AU58 holder, Jules Revier Collection pedigree, and in comparison I believe it is an utter dog. It was a mistake.

Thanks! But in all fairness, the bottom pictures were taken by Mark Goodman before I got my new equipment. I'm certainly not in his league, but I think I'm improving.
I feel somewhat burned on the bottom coin, but it's really my own damned fault.
The auction pictures weren't very good, but I figured I had *some* protection (follow my logic here): As far as I know, the Jules Reiver collection was sold entirely in NGC holders, so I (mistakenly) assumed that if the coin had crossed to PCGS it must make the grade. Not so much.
Apparently PCGS gives MUCH more latitude to pedigreed coins than if a schmoe like me submits them. Bleagh.
This is one I'd like the Kool-Aid drinkers to explain.
