A question about the Coronet Large Cent 1816-1839 diameter

Was there a planchet size change that occurred during this run? I just want to fill the hole in my 7070 with a coin that actually FITS!!!

Maybe the 7070 hole is too large/small

My original thought. But I just got this 1838 from AnkurJ (as a gift

) that is like 2mm smaller in diameter than the 7070 hole allows. I figure that maybe the earlier ones must have been bigger

Page 89 of my Redbook states they changed the diameter from 1835-1857
to 27.5mm from the earlier 28,29mm. Either that, or Ankurj id shaving copper!
