Which is better to have a card graded under? or does it even matter? Will one increase the value more? Thanks

Trust the bccg card to be 2 grades lower in the BGS holder. But not in all cases. There have been stories of bccg cards crossing over at or near the same grade.
BCCG is a joke, and I would not even consider buying a card graded by bccg.
One thing I will say though is they don't charge to reholder a card as a "seperate service" and require you to pay $16.50 additional postage like psa does though.
<< <i>So BGS would grade with a tighter "stricterness" system? Why even grade a card with bccg then? >>
That is the million dollar question.
BCCG is a joke. Their "10" is defined as "Mint or Better". Their "9" is "Near Mint or Better". What a joke.

They submit to BCCG just to get that falsely graded 10 just so newbies to the hobby can buy them up.

One of the biggest things even "experienced" (meaning people who pay for third party grading) hobbyists fail to realize is that a PSA 10 and BGS 9.5 have nearly identical grading standards...a BGS 10 is theoretically a step above. However, because PSA doesn't slab anything higher than GEM Mint, there are many PSA Gems that would cross to a BGS 10 Pristine.
In my opinion BGS 10 was some subjective creation to give the illusion that BGS has a better quality grading system. Being the third guy on the block allows this though...you can take someone else's idea and make it "better." PSA lead the way from the beginning. Everyone else had to create gimmicks to give the appearance of quality.
Then it crossed to the same grade. A BCCG 8 means ex (actually ex to ex-mt).

Agreed. For a very long time, it was virtually impossible to get a SINGLE subgrade of 10 on a BGS card, much an overall grade of BGS 10. Look around on eBay and you'll likely find that on the older BGS graded cards (where the subgrades are on the back), it will be very rare to find a card with a single subgrade of BGS 10 and/or an overall grade of BGS 10.

<< <i>I meant to post about this the other day. It seems Beckett now has a hybrid holder for BCCG that could easily confuse a new collector. I would just link the pic, but I don't know how with the new ebay. Check out this holder.

Here's the card:
Steve
(1) To make Beckett extra money for those that do not actually pay for "Real" grading
(2) For dealers and bulk sellers to be able to say the card graded a 10, "The highest grad Beckett gives out", so that they can dupe new collectors into thinking they are getting a great card cheap.
(3) To allow those whiney people who think their "vintage" late 80s/early 90s stuff to have a gem mint 10 and can sell it on craigslist and put a fortune on the price tag.
Bottom line - BCCG is a joke, and in my opinion, makes their BGS/BVG line of grading seem a little less attractive

There is a difference in saving a couple pennies and making a smart investment.....but I wouldn't expect you to understand that
