What Did/Do Folks Use the "Old" CoinFacts Site For?

There seems to be discussion on the new CoinFacts website that was made live yesterday. Without actually talking about it, as there are at least two other threads including a sticky, I'm curious as to: What did you find most useful about the "old" CoinFacts website?

Personally, I used it for decent pictures of old coins I didn't have for use in presentations I've given (with credit, of course), and lately I've been using it for some old mintage numbers that I didn't want to crack the Red Book for.

Mintages mostly, when I'm too lazy to get up and walk 5 feet to my bookshelf to get the red book.

A quick reference for mintages, die varieties, some rarity information and auction appearances.

    +1

In reality, I only used the site a few times a month.

I used it primarily for modern mintage figures and an occasional picture.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

I found the colonial coin pages helpful, especially the Connecticut copper images.

CoinFacts is a wonderful quick reference on past sales -- auction and private treaty -- on major rarities.

I laughed out loud when I read someone's message board complaint that all the info on CoinFacts can be found elsewhere online (so why should he now pay for it). I do a significant amount of research work online on various topics, and while it may be true much of the info on CoinFacts can be found elsewhere, it's much more convenient to have one primary, authoritative source to start -- and often quickly end -- the hunt for info. It's truly an online U.S. numismatic encyclopedia.

For me it's like the difference between purchasing a printed News Media Directory and subscribing to the online edition. The annual printed version is considerably less expensive, but it's outdated the day I receive it. The online directory is updated daily and worth the additional cost.
