Any interest in a PSA/DNA autograph card group submission?

I emailed Joe about a month ago asking how much 200 signed card would be to get authenticated through the $20 service. He said he could do $10 each. Well I can't afford to dish out that kind of money, but have about 20 right now I could do.

Maybe we can get together an autograph card group submission to get the $10 price.

Someone with more credibility want to get this thing started? I would be up for doing it, but I haven't been here too long.

What would this service entail, grading the card and authenticating the autograph? If so i'd be interested, sorry for the question but im new to this. I have some Bonds rookie cards that I got signed at the 1988 ASU Alumni Basball game that I'd like to get done. Now his signature has changed quite a bit since 1987, how do they take that into account?

Just received an email back from Joe. He said $10 is good, just as long as no big dollar autographs are in there.

Waiting for his confirmation as to if it will be the blue or red flip.

Ok, got another reply from Joe. Below is the information:

200+ autographed card submissions @ $10.00 per
No high dollar $500+

The cards will have the red flip.

If someone who has been around longer wants to get this started, please PM me. I have done numerous transactions on this board with other members, but I know a lot of the old members might not participate due to it being a noob handling it.

If no one wants to do it, I would be up for it.

Red Flip is for cards only.

I probably have about 5-10 cards I would like to send in.

Let's see the details and if there is enough interest.

Does this mean it would be a red flip with Authentic on it or will it say PSADNA? I always get these confused. I assume these can only be added to the set registry and not on the PSADNA registry.

I am just curious to find out that if we do get this sub going would it also include postcard size cards such as baseball hall of fame auto'ed postcards? I am sure we have no idea yet but if these are to be included I would be in for at least 5 more.

What is PSA's policy on grading autographed cards that say the to" the person's name" and then signs it? i know that this pretty much ruins the card and only makes it a valuable keep sake.. but i have a card that say "to chad" and then signed that i would like to get slabbed.. could that be included in this lot?

I would be willing to do it, but I am not a CC member, unless I could sub it under someone else's account. Or, if you all want to make it $10.25 per card instead of $10. (200 cards would cover the $49 CC fee).

Based on minimum cards quantities mentioned so far, we are still 50-60 cards short.

I am interested with about 25 cards if we get the grade in addition to the authentication. If authentication only, I'm out. Also, some of these cards are Topps certified autos from Allen & Ginter sets that I just want to get graded, are those handled differently?

Yes, they are handled differently

i think those tops autos fro 2002 can be sent under the 4.50 special.. i could be wrong.. but i think this is only for older auto cards pre 1996(i think) or cards that were autographed that were not from the manufacturer...

does anyone know what psa does about autographs that say to so and so.. and then the singnature.. will they even grade these cards.. or is it no different than if i decided to write all over the card?

They are looking at the auto. Don't believe it matters if it's made out to someone.

PSA will grade personalized cards.

The question I have for this group sub is if PSA will be only grading the autos and cards as authentic or will they be assigning number grades to the card as well. You usually have the choice to do one or the other on autograph submissions at no extra cost. I perer the number grade on the card since I will be using them for my HOF Autograph Registry sets.

Ok Im back. Been doing a lot of studying. Is there a member who has been here longer that would like to take hold of this?

I would love to do it, but I think mixing it with school might slow it down some. I could do it, so let me know what you guys want.

To answer some questions. As long as the card is not altered, it should receive a numeric graded, along with the PSA/DNA certified.
I will send all these questions to Joe just to be sure, and to let everyone know the exact service they wil be getting.
