I just got this 1827 1/2P in today in MS64BN, much better looking in hand with dark blue over brown toning around the rims, copper colored fields and rich brown devices.
That's old ground that's been much covered before.
Suffice it to say (again) that I don't think NGC should use the prong inserts on anything below a certain size, or on pieces that do not have lettered or ornamented edges. (Although I do agree it's a step in the right direction for lettered edge pieces).
