I like the details but the picture is hard to make an accurate judgement on eye appeal.

Looks like a DLRC image, but I think the coin would look nice in hand.

What Paul said. I want to like the coin without reservation, I bet it would look nice in hand -- yet, I'm not 100% sure.

Yeah, it's on the DLRC website. Their asking price is ridiculous though.

...not so great image/scan? I'd say 53 or 55 details but with that image I can't be certain if it's been cleaned or otherwise messed with ...most have been... L

Darn. DLRC couldn't come down enough on the price for me to buy it. Oh well, on with the search!

although it looks like a high end circ, and a nice looking one, it is a VERY common date, joe, that may have been a blessing in disguise, if you are building a type set, chase down one of the civil war dates, say an 1860 or an 1864 or if you MUST have an 1858, find an 1858-s i have no idea what you were willing to spend on that coin, but im willing to bet you can find one every bit as nice for a WHOLE lot less money if you keep looking.
