Wow, that's disgraceful.

If I found someone doing that to my info, I sure as hell wouldn't do business with either party.
Unless there is an "opt-in" stating that he will do that with the information, and someone approves it by opting in, then I think it is a crappy thing to do.

<< <i>I just got the same email. Bunch of BS on the ANA's part. >>
Agree. When I receive an email, if I don't recognize it or cannot determine its origin, I just delete it.

Well,....isn't that classy.
I don't read mrearlygold's post as him offering to sell customers' contact info. He's talking about people who are not customers, who leave their info on his website. It's not even 100% clear if he's selling those people's info, or if he's talking about giving them the contact info of the dealers who would buy "leads."
Edit: So let's at least hear the facts before we dish out another keats-style wicked dealer numismatic internet flogging.

Do they still have the prohibition against replying with negative comments on the BST threads?

From the post:
I have hundreds of leads that have come via our website. These are people who are asking for information, or for help with coins I do not handle.
Whether you are a seasoned coin shop that has someone manning the phone, a newer dealer looking to establish yourself, or an established dealer with a new employee that needs to get some experience dealing with the public either by email, telephone, shows or all of the above, these leads can be purchased at a fair price.
Ok, so it a "lead from the website" and maybe not a direct customer. Regardless, is that an ok thing to do, in your mind?
Certainly looks like SELLING the contact info to dealers who want the leads for some COLD CALLS. Am I wrong about that?
