1946-D quarter RPM?

A question for gurus of the Washington quarter series...

This mintmark is on a 1946-D quarter. It appears to be tripled. Is there a known variety for it, or do you think that perhaps the effect has been caused by die damage? Thanks in advance.

There is only one listing for '46D in CPG. It's description:

"The secondary D is weak but evident north of the primary D, and touching the branch above."

The photo provided loks nothing like your coin.

That MM is the result of 'ejection' or 'mechanical'
    doubling.

    It's not an RPM.... sorry
