Minnesota Twins home game - any good hotels?

I am going to Minneapolis for work and I plan to attend a Twins game. Any recommended hotels
around the stadium? Do they play near downtown?

Thanks,

Tom

They play on the east end of dt - don't worry, its a small dt. Not really much in the way of hotels right there, but you can get some by the new stadium - Radisson and Marriott are about 8 - 10 blocks away (look for an address on 7th or 8th street - I forget which), and you can even take a light rail for most of that for like 50 cents. There are probably a few hotels closer - but they are potentially a longer walk given the distance from the light rail (which is 2 blocks north of the Radisson and Marriott - which face each other).
    Have fun!

Given the amount of fans there you could probably bring a tent and live right in the Dome. Plenty of sections available.

when I was there in 2000, I stayed at the Hampton Inn a few miles outside of town (I had a rental car) which worked out fine
