PCGS zeroed this coin for "questionable toning" what do you think?

Frankly I think it's real-pretty consistent with album toning.

Anyway, if somebody were going to tone the coin artificially to submit to a TPG wouldn't
you think they'd make it a look a lot nicer than this image

To me all toning is AT. I would say we change the terms of AT and NT to Natural Toning and On Purpose Toning.... If someone deliberately tones a coin then that's bad, but holders, climate, packaging, and the like.. I can deal with...

Forgot to weigh in on the coin at hand... I say it does look a tad weird. Doesn't look like a lot of the toned Canadian Quarters I have seen.... Just me though..

There were a bunch of Canadian coins in the auction with the same type of toning. I'm thinking 'is there a doctor in the house?"

OK, I just looked at the certificate numbers for 6 or 7 "Genuines" on Teletrade and they're all in sequence.

    So you guys were right.

Still, if nothing else, I got a wonderful lesson in just how many ways the lethal combination of acid plus idiot
can screw up a coin image
