From my limited understanding, these are coming from the U.S. Mint boxed rolls.
The stock numbers are LP1 and LP2, I believe... and they came out in april/may of '09.

Someone here may be able to link the thread about these coins for you.
Greetings and welcome to the boards.

  • I'm guessing that they are either coming from JUNE dated mint 2-roll boxes.... or from the bank boxes?? But I don't actually know.....?

    Wow!

59 varieties already on John Wexler's www.doubleddie.com site!

I'll be glad when this one is done and cannot help but wonder if the US Mint, upon discovering those early DDO's didn't go ahead and instruct the die maker to just screw a bunch more up as historically speaking, the one sure way to kill a DDO or DDR coming out of the US Mint is to have a bazillion of them!

YET, no Denver coins! Very odd!

Definitely something weird with this as even the Minnesota Extra Tree quarters had Denver DDR's!

BTW, I can hardly wait for the 2009 Mint Sets! Who knows how many more will be added to the fray?
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!
