Amazing isn't it how many people can't figure out something simple like how to use a search engine...
Keep stupid people, that way I can continue to make the big bucks.

a. a bulk submission to PCGS? Will there be a special label? Do they need to be sealed or can they be cherrypicked and then sent by a certain date?
b. a bulk submission to NGC? Will there be a special label? Do they need to be sealed or can they be cherrypicked and then sent by a certain date?
c. a bulk submission to ANACS? Will there be a special label? Do they need to be sealed or can they be cherrypicked and then sent by a certain date?
d. hurry up and be the first to sell the raw rolls on eBay?
What was the concensus on the last issue?
<< <i>The question then is, what is the best thing to do with the rolls? >>
I pick "d" -- flip 'em as fast as you can!

Springfield has two statehouses. One is a museum from the Lincoln era and the other is currently in use by legislators. The old statehouse is the one depicted on the coin.

The old statehouse is located on Washington between 5th and 6th. On a map it's probably called Old Statehouse Plaza.

E. have a plane ready and fly to PCGS and do a walk-in grading and flip on the bay for moon money as quickly as possible.

Very funny! I guess I will need to call PCGS and find out for myself.
<< <i>So will PCGS be offering a special slab insert for these first day of issue LP3s, and if so what is the procedure for submission? I presume these can be done on a bulk submission, correct? >>
To be honest, I don't know what the procedure will be for bulk subs. I do think you can cherry the best ones for submission. Sealed rolls submissions would have been for the First Strike designation that does not exist for regular collectors anymore. Peresonally I would stand in line as many times as I can til they run out, buy as many as they will let me, and go to the local post office and have them stamped with the date and location on the roll. Those ones seem to sell better on ebay than the ones without the stamp on them. Good luck and try to bring some friends with you to get more, many others will have multiples buying for them also.

A. No special label unless you are a PCGS authorized dealer, no exceptions.
B. NGC offers FDI labels if you overnight them. They must be postmarked the day of the ceremony.
C. ANACS offers special labels but you will probably not get your $$ back as the market ignores them or should I say severely discounts them.
D. Raw rolls will probably go for $10 for the first few days maybe 2 weeks. If you get them postmarked from the Springfield PO you'd probably get $25 a roll for a week or so.
I attended the Lincoln City ceremony and overnighted to NGC. The 67's I rec'd sold VERY well ($200+) but the market dried up quickly!
Hope that helps......

It helps immensely, thank you. Did you cherry pick the rolls before you sent them in?

Yes. My father and Brother and I attended the ceremony and rec'd 18 rolls. Dad drove through the Mountains back toward Ohio while I graded coins! We stopped in Kentucky and overnighted them. Nothing like grading coins in the passenger seat of a car driving 75 MPH up and down Mountains! It's an experience with my Dad and younger Bro that I will always treasure. They thought we were nuts driving 400 miles and standing in line for 2 hours for $9 in "pennies."
<< <i>Wow. Cool story. So out of 900 coins, how many did you end up sending in? >>
20, rec'd 5 -67's, the rest 66's.
<< <i>I'm glad it's almost here.
