Doran...OMG What a Surprise..Thank You..You guys have to see this..

A while ago as many of you know I sent packs of 75 topps for board members to open who were out of work and on hard times. It was a way of lifting spirits in a time of need.

I opened my mailbox and to my surprise I recieved a package from Doran.

As many of you know I am a huge fan of Mike Schmidt and Steve Carlton and I have a complete 1971 Topps PSA set ( He tied them together) ..anyway here was what was inside..

I have never owned a Mike Schmidt or Steve Carlton Autograph. I was always afraid I would get ripped off and it wouldn't be legit. I can't tell you how my mouth hit the floor when I saw this.

I am still in shock.

    That is one heck of a nice gesture and a lot of work by Doran to put the card together with the autograph. Great old photo of Schmidt. Enjoy your card.

    My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

    Doran,
    What an incredible gesture to make and give those cards to Felicia. I know as a fellow digital artist it had to be a labor of love to complete a project of that magnitude. Again you have outdone yourself....Those cards are beauties!!!!!!!!!!!!! I especially love the auto card...I think that is the way I will end up doing my 1970 Steve Garvey card.

    It's so awesome to see Felicia becoming the recipient of heat warming gestures. She really deserves it!!

    You are very welcome Felicia, I'm glad you like it. Thanks for all the compliments guys. I have to give Nick a little credit as well, I couldn't find an image of Schmidt for the card so I just manipulated the 74 card image a bit, and Nick gave me a few suggestions to make Schmidt look a little younger.
