We are leaving at 7 AM. Got lots of fun stuff before the National starts.
I am just looking for whatever strikes my fancy!
  • I can't _uckin wait. I'm doing as much stuff away from the expo center as I am at the expo center. Will be in Canton too.

It is a three hour drive for me. I'm meeting a buddy for breakfast at 0600 on Thursday. We will be there when the doors open.

Okay, so thinking about the National has officially dragged my butt OUT of bed just now... I was laying there awake trying to think of exactly what I will be looking for, so I got up to make a shopping list.

Making a list of WAX that I want to look for on BBCE's tables...
Making a list of minty-fresh Ripken singles I will be looking for...
Looking to fill in the rest of my Brooks Robinson Basic Topps RAW "set" (still need '57, '60, 63, and '67)...

Also writing down what prices I want to spend on each item. It always drives me nuts when I'm at a show, and I see an item that I want, and I have no clue as to whether I'm spending too much on it or not (especially on the raw Brooks cards).

So YES, I'm freaking excited about the National! So glad it's less than an hour away from my house this year! image

    I am very pumped!

1st vacation away from the wifey and kids...I am double PUMPED!

Steve Hart has some awesome vintage packs I hear. Cannot wait. That will eat up a lot of cashola though.

Look for holes to fill in the #1 Yaz Master set, upgrade my #13 '64 Stand Ups set, or #19 '61 Fleer basketball set.

Also looking forward to meeting some of you guys...should be a blast.

If I can get them scanned and small enough I have autographed Benchwarmers from one of the first models. Connie Woodsimage

Does a bear blow mud in the woods?

Heck yes I am ready.....MY son came into our room last night at 3AM because he lost his pacifer. I was up from 3AM-5AM day dreaming about the National and thinking off all the things I want to purchase. That Bob Gibson RC I picked up last night had me super JACKED UP last night as well.

Bob, I can remember growing up in Ohio, we kept our boat up on Lake Erie near Sandusky OH. We used to go up to Cedar Point all the time. What a great time that was. Did you plan a trip to Kings Island while in Cincy? You have to ride "The Beast" roller coaster. Wish I was up there with you. See you later in the week. Have fun with son on the Guys week.

Baltimore, during the first week of August. It will be the first National ever held there.

I think it goes back to Chicago in 2011.

    Have fun folks.

They really should rotate the national between multiple sites, including both coasts.

I am glad it is in Baltimore next year. I am going for sure.
