Donnie Baseball, Mark McGwire, Dale Murphy (for sure), Freddy Lynn ????, Ron Santo, Andre Dawson, and of course Pete Rose SHOULD be eligible and already in.
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
Copied from another site asking these same questions:
Tommy John has won more games than any eligible pitcher not in the Hall of Fame.
However, John has also won more games than 52 pitchers already in the Hall of Fame.
In his long career, he won 288 games, compiled a 3.34 ERA, threw 46 shutouts, won 20 games three times, and was elected to four all-star teams.
He started more games than any left-hander in history, save for Steve Carlton.

Rose, then Blyleven. Big gap to the next-best non-HOFer after that.

Rusty Kunz - or Blyleven. Bunker, Blyleven was much better than John - not sure its really close. Glad to see Blyleven getting some love for this question - silly that he isn't in yet (mostly because of people using Wins to determine who the good pitchers are I assume). Don't know much about Santo, but his htting numbers are very solid, but not spectacular. If his fielding was top notch I wouldn't have a problem with that. pete

I believe that many of these will be voted in soon due to the fact that they are not tainted as much by the steroid dogma that some of the newer and more deserving players. I'll be the first to say that Barry Bonds was better than Dale Murphy, however with the current resent in the media toward anyone tainted by this, Murphy maybe able to squeak in as a protest vote against the perceived cheaters. Or at least I hope so.
I also agree that Rose should be eligible and should be in the hall. How can you have a hall a fame and not have the hit leader. In the near future, there will be point in time when the hit all-time leader and the homerun all-time leader will be theoritically eligible but not electable.
