icsoccericsoccer Posts: 1,339 ✭✭✭
Submitted early May, received back in early July. Edited to say all coins were purchased raw.
Indian Cents
1859 AU 55
1864 AU 58
1870 XF 40
1902 Genuine code 91....???? Will edit picture in tonight
1911d MS 64RB
1915-d MS 64RB
1919-d MS 64RB
1923 Genuine code 91
1926-d MS 63 RD

Washington Quarter
1942-s MS65...with some tone to it

Morgan Dollars
1880-s MS 64PL and a super sweet toner
1883-0 MS 62...confirmed that this beautiful toner was OK

Peace Dollar
1921 Genuine Altered surfaces a surprise to me...but after looking closely I agree / lesson learned (64/65 coin)
1924-s AU 58 ...yes a low grade... but I bought as a XF in a 2x2 and sent in to check grade

1983 DDR MS 63RD HOOT!!!! found in a coffee can of cents!

I agree with all but the Indian & Lincoln Cent that were Genuine.....no question @ color in my mind...but this was not
my first Genuine Lincoln... I do believe I am learning what PCGS will grade for color...in my book the hardest thing to learn!

Good luck to everyone on their submissions!

When did they arrive? Just curious about turnaround times, I have a couple in the oven and I'm wondering when they'll be done.

Well done, not too many gennies in there! And yes, I'm also curious as to the turnaround time. When were they received by PCGS?

Turnaround times are becoming ridiculous. Now posted as being 35 business days for economy. Thats nearly 2 months. In a declining market time is your enemy. Has PCGS trimmed a few graders from the staff?

I recently had an Express order that took twice as long as it did 4 months ago.

    Any pics of the 11-D?

Where did you aquire most of these raw coins? Ebay, dealers?
  • icsoccericsoccer Posts: 1,339 ✭✭✭
I purchased them from dealers. Seeing coins in hand is a definite advantage for selecting color and luster.
I admit to trying to be first in line for fresh better grades and dates. (old collections sold to
a couple of favorite dealers). ...as we all do...I am sure!

Since it costs them no more to grade it sooner, my guess is they are "encouraging" you to upgrade your service on the next submission. It is my belief that they grade them when they get them and then hold them until the service level time has come so as to encourage as many as possible to upgrade. I don't for a minute think that submissions sit in someone's "inbox" for 2 months.

Sorry about the "91" but if its orange, or orange streak, they will not grade.
Check that 1911 D for any of the 4 RPM's
Outstanding on your 26 D in RED.
