Yeah, peoples skills and equipment have improved dramatically in the last year or so. Me, I still have all my old equipment and just recently got it all working again. I miss the old Shylock challenge threads. I used to enjoy competing with my old primitive software and equipment against the Photoshop masters.
I take so many photos of coins for sale that I don't have time to make "great" photos anymore. However, if you take enough photos some of them will turn out ok. I like this one because it accurately captures the toning on this small coin. Before Boch.... shows up and accuses me of Spamming the forum, this coin sold long ago. (As if there were a market for moderns here on the forum anyway). --Jerry

WOW! A toned gold piece!! Very cool.
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
These pics are not the best quality-wise, but great for me because I remember the fun night I took the pictures, they were among a group of coins that was visiting home from the bank those last few days before the collecting break
I can't decide on which coin to post. So I picked five other than my double eagle which is what I normally post to threads like this. Only one coin is US, mainly because I thought I'd add some variety to the thread.

Ummm....hopefully that's not a bad thing. I really liked those challenges you used to do. I learned a lot of things by figuring out how to get my old clunky software to do what you were challenging us to do.
Here is a neat function I discovered the other day on Photoscape, I guess if you want to risk making 'coin nerds' of your kids, you can print your own coloring pages.

Alot of great images - even though there was only one Barber [ Thx, Tombr, nice 92-O Half !] -
I was very impressed with the Proof 1880 Shield Nickel - what a stunning coin ! The MS 1875 was also fantastic !
The Seated Quarter really had my mouth watering !
All nice coins - just these were the ones that stuck out in my mind.
Here's a True-View image which captures the look of this coin perfectly:
