Question about 1917 type I SLQ

I'm looking at possibly purchasing a raw 1917 Type I SLQ but the overall appearance looks off to me. I don't have a photo unfortunately, but I'll try and describe it. What I'm mostly looking for, is if you have seen this type of surface on a coin. The coin is extremely bright like a coin from the Special Mint Set strike and one might think it was polished. However the detail is all there, and you can see flow lines still in the fields. Every little bit of detail that should be there is there, and it does not look like it has been messed with. Have you ever seen come across this type of surface before and not be an SMS coin? If it was polish the detail should not be sharp correct?

Just looking for some insight.

Buy one slabbed, they are relatively easy to find. You'll thank yourself down the road.

I would run away from this coin as fast as I could.

1. Raw coin

2. The coin sounds whizzed or polished

3. The 1917 generally ,can have a pebbly
appearance in the field.

Avoid buying raw unless you feel the expert. I got this on the Bay, I went in eyes open and
got it for the right price. It was sold as uncirculated. I feel DGS got the grade on the money; AU55, lightly cleaned.
If your prepared for something as that, do what you wish. Good luck.
